Dr. Soo Aleman has been appointed as the national research study coordinator for Sweden’s part in the WHO Solidarity Trial.
The purpose of the WHO Solidarity Trial is to test the efficacy and safety of drugs that are currently being used to treat covid-19 patients. There is a lack of knowledge regarding the efficacy of these drugs in their use against covid-19, and the WHO Solidarity Trial provides a valuable opportunity to both improve covid-19 treatment in Sweden and to contribute to global knowledge about effective treatment options.
