Collaboration between Sweden and Denmark to strengthen precision medicine in healthcare

Precision medicine utilizes genetic- or molecular-based medicines or solutions that benefit certain patient groups. Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS) and the Danish National Genome Center (DNGC) have entered into a partnership to drive the development and implementation of precision medicine into their nation’s healthcare systems. The partnership will allow the two Scandinavian countries to exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices regarding e.g. technology, data sharing, ethical issues, and health economy. The ultimate goal of the partnership is to ensure that precision medicine is available to the patients that need it most, so they can receive the best care possible.
